Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Learn Jiu Jitsu for Self-Defense, a stronger body and a stronger mind.

Exercise your mind and body while learning valuable self-defense with the martial art that is developed with the concepts of leverage and technique at its core - Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Hassetts Jiujitsu Club specializes in teaching the art of Brazilian/Gracie Jiu-Jitsu offering both Gi and No-Gi styles. This program is designed for adults, both men and women, who want to learn self-defense, competition techniques and strategy, or jiu-jitsu for MMA (mixed martial arts). Students will also be introduced to the techniques utilized in MMA, such as Judo, Wrestling, Kickboxing, in addition to Jiu-Jitsu. We offer classes for both the beginner and the experienced practitioners.

BJJ promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger opponent by using leverage and proper techniques - most notably by applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat your opponent. BJJ training can be used for sport grappling tournaments (gi and no-gi) and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition or self-defense. Sparring (commonly known as "rolling") and live drilling play a major role in training, making it a realistic form of martial arts and a great workout.

No matter your skill level, our experienced instructors will tailor lessons so that you can conquer your goals. Our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes will get you into amazing shape, increase your flexibility and core strength while teaching you the most effective self-defense and BJJ techniques on earth.
